Hi,
First off, I am sorry for posting english in a Dutch forum but could not find a Announcement thread on bitcointalk. I was trying to pump the coins price when it was first released and unfortunately got caught out when the original devs dumped out, so I am bagholding with what I imagine is less then 10 other users and the 1 person that is buying up all the coins on bittrex or keeping it from dying completely.
I just want to ask what is the chances of this coin being revived from death so I can get a better price on the 167000 coins I personally own. I feel it will be better in Dutch hands but not for this price. I am willing to accept 2000 satoshi for my coins. So pm me if interested.

I am personally very confident about the succes of this coin, though I am not willing to pay 2000 satoshi per piece. As I can get them a lot cheaper out there.
How much coins do you have?

Just over 167 000 coins. Niels PM'd me saying you guys have things in the works for the coin. So I don't mind holding +-1% of the current EFL supply until the coin price increases.

Low prices serve the foundation's purpose to lower the threshold for more people to step in, but not too low for all the other reasons.
Needless to say that it serves no purpose to draw a lot of attention while we are working on the fundamentals. The first version (though quite elaborate) of our marketing plan is due next week.

You guys talk about price, but this is what worries me more, I was looking at this coin on Bleutrade, but I don't want to invest now. No way there's a healthy market for this at all.

Wat to much e-guldens on the market and the price declining every day.
Probably the old devs still selling from the 5 million lost premine.
Had some faith in this coin ather the foundation but it is slowly fading away.

We are just working with the 7 of us and nobody really asks a question about what we are doing, so you just lose faith because we don't post on bitcointalk, just give those cheap coins to us, I really don't mind buying 140.000 times below fair value. Just promise me to not be a crybaby, telling us that it's all not fair when we are 1 euro a piece. You have had enough time to get in.

I will be honest here, if you guys post on bitcointalk they will crucify you as I said above there is less then 10 people bagholding 90% of the coins. I have just over 1% and there is one guy on bittrex that got sold over 350 000 coins a few times now unless that was fake trading?
What you guys need to do is forget about the current crypto or bitcoin community and head straight for the mainstream public who have no idea of the past history this coin has. No coin built on a scam has ever been successful afterwards but going for mainstream dutch citizens can work and can make us all rich like you said above.
The current crypto community is just too smart to invest in this coin but because this is seen as the Dutch crypto currency you can get dutch citizens to buy into it.

I have picked up a flaw in the code, do you know that EFL addresses are the same as the Litecoin wallet addresses and I don't think this can be fixed (maybe I am wrong) , obviously the original devs had no intentions of this coin being a longterm project.
This is another reason why targetting the mainstream Dutch citizens is a must as most people involved in crypto will pick this flaw up and new people to crypto won't know what litecoin is.

I am aware and I agree this is a major mistake from the original devs. We could change the first letter to an E (or whatever). Though all old addresses won't show up in the wallet anymore all transactions should still be available. My guess is it will only change the public keys, not the private ones. This is something that will have to be looked into more before pushing it though.

There is a solution I was thinking about, which is on the interface level. We could require an address to start with EFL on the interface and then strip the first two characters when the address enters the system. Also the other way around. We could present all addresses with the EF prefix. Only when you look in the blockchain the EF will be absent. But that's for specialists anyway. I don't think this is a mayor coding issue, but funny and exceptional indeed.
For the time beeing the current situation is practical, using liteaddress.org to generate cold storage

Thinking about it more it would be best just to leave it as the litecoin addresses as it might confuse people especially in the future when it comes to claiming taxation on crypto transactions, if EFL gets big you will just be subject to questions about it and basically you have a good answer regarding the original devs just being extremely lazy and not caring about the code as it was intended as just a quick money making scheme for them, the community took over and you made the best of the situation.

Well I think we can change it. And sooner rather than later. Though I think it will be a shock for people to see that all their addresses are 'gone'. (Which is why we need to do it sooner, because we won't have to worry about Albert Heijn calling us and saying we f****d up their money)
If we're going to do this I'd say we do it after the release of the Christiaan Huygens wallet.

Maybe start a poll about it, for me the starting letter is really not important, why would I care about a L or G or 1? I know when i'm using e-Gulden we all have a L, but if you guys can and want to change it go ahead. I think it's best when AD starts a poll, because he knows the right words, if there is no poll after the weekend I'll start one myself. Thanks for thinking with us Dave!
